Solve Et Coagula Lyrics
Fire, fire
I dissolve and solidify,
Destroy to recreate,
Disassemble to assemble something pure,
Our rubic sol-ve-et-co-ag-u-la
Kill to be born again, cycled a thousand times
Fire, planetary alchemy,
Fire, the time is here now
Fire, four corners to rise
Fire rise!
Fire, there's always loss within,
Fire, the cleansing it's time
Fire, shooting arrows to the sky
Fire
I construct a new institution
Not out of bricks, iron, cement, concrete
Or steel
Our rubic sol-ve-et-co-ag-u-la
Distill to purify,
We've done it a thousand times
Fire, planetary alchemy,
Fire, the time is here now
Fire, four corners to rise
Fire rise!
Fire, there's always loss within,
Fire, the cleansing it's time
Fire, shooting arrows to the sky
Fire
Burn, bleed all the lives of life, ascend to
The sky
Burn, all the martyrs
Fire, planetary alchemy,
Fire, the time is here now
Fire, four corners to rise
Fire rise!
Fire, there's always loss within,
Fire, the cleansing it's time
Fire, shooting arrows to the sky
Fire
I dissolve and solidify,
Destroy to recreate,
Disassemble to assemble something pure,
Our rubic sol-ve-et-co-ag-u-la

jeeze.... no one has tried this song Solve Et Coagula - Destroy To Create this song means that our world is too secular... we must forget about that, so we can move onto more metaphysical concepts, somethign more abstract
I think this song is based on a theory from (I can't think of his name sorry) that the universe is constantly being destroyed and recreated. All energy gets converted to heat, burning the universe into ashes and starting all over again, hence all the references to fire. If anyone knows the philosopher I am thinking of or the name of the theory I am thinking of please help me out. I learned it last year in physics and it really changed my perspective on this song
I agree with sporgalish but differ in thought process. I've come to believe (from my experiences with Salvia Divinorum) that the Universe isn't constantly being "technically" destroyed but constantly being folded upon itself, like an enormous rolodex or something, and eventually over time it returns to the beginning. But everytime it gets back to the starting point it's slightly distorted and/or different because it's worn out from the pressure of itself being compacted upon itself. OK now I've some how confused myself which is understandable because Salvia creates some of the most amazing but confusing thoughts I've ever comprehended.
i see that no one has mentioned that solve et coagula is an alchemic principal.
'Fire, planetary alchemy'
geduhh.. This song is about alchemy. It always makes me think of that Full Metal Alchemist anime
the best riff in this song is right after he screams, "bleed all the lives of life, ascend into the sky". i wish there was more to that! anyway, i agree the meaning has to do more with secularity (i think i just made that word up) and almost mocks the idea of genocide.
I meant to add that distortion and/or difference are not necessarily bad things but new things.
Solve et coagula means 'dissolve and congeal' in latin. They two words are on either arm of Baphomet, which is an uncommon name for Satan, mostly used in occults. Just wanted to say that.
also forgot to mention: dissolve to recreate = alchemy Disassemble to assemble something pure =alchemy
and: I construct a new institution Not out of bricks, iron, cement, concrete Or steel
in alchemy they tried to create precious metals out of normal metal like steel and such.
i agree with SPORGALISH'S answer
but i also like to think this song's about planet creation and the human race moving beyond earth
Without falsehood: that which is below is like that which is above, and vise versa to accomplish the miracle of One Thing. As everything have proceeded from One, by It's meditation - so all things are born by adaptation. The Sun is Its father and the Moon Its mother, as the Wind delivers It to Its caretaker Manifest. All mystery is hereby revealed. Strength, and power if It become Earth by seperation and re-combination thereby unifying opposites. Hence is all the glory of the world yours.
