Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) Lyrics

Say no to your harmonies, and to these, lies that you fed me
Whether or not I could see, may hold true, when you fail to appease
When you are failing to show, your true thoughts, I saw pain in your eyes
I look inside of your mind, and you fade, says so much to the mind
I search for truths in the pain, and your face, says so much to the mind
No more of this life, fuck your fate, just be glad you survived

I’m…Your…God…Tonight

I…Sought…You…Out

You're the one that I'm
Torn Under.. As your tired eyes dream longer. I'm the one that can

Condemn you

If you want it more, I'll tell you. I'm the one that told you: "I am you".... As the nights grow long and crumble..

Cover art for Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) lyrics by Advent Wrath

Taken from their webiste [www.adventwrath.com]. This is what Jack [their lyricist / vocalist] said about this song, considering he wrote it:

"Dies Irae (Day of Wrath): Dies Irae is the Latin phrase for day of wrath, and I thought it had a very nice ring to it. I found the phrase in a dictionary, and felt that the song we were making at the time was perfect for the title because the phrase “Dies Irae” is rather beautiful but when you see the translation, you start to question it a little bit. That, to me, was intriguing. This song was written under our old name Self Infliction and looking back on it, it is a little ironic that we wrote a song called “Day of Wrath’ before we changed our name to Advent Wrath. I suppose the song can have different meanings now…"
