Broken Witch Lyrics
creepy song, but good~
what is the significance of the bear?
just reading over that quickly.. isnt it " men have small hearts " ? in reference to the fact horses have big ones.
salsafetish;- i dunno what the deal is with the bear, but go listen to their song ' you know i hate stupid phones ' .. they also reference a bear, completely random but equally as fun!
i think there should be "men have small hearts" instead of "small thoughts"... but this is what i like on liars - they let you interpret their lyrics your own way. with "they were wrong so we drowned" they created a scary, and at the same time grotesque and absurd world that's not only about witches and wizards, but has many allegorical and actual meanings. even if it sounds sometimes like nonsense, there is an intense power behind it that captures you...
"i no longer wanna be a man, i want to be a horse"
i absolutely love these lines - it feels like a totally absurd desperation of being a man, and the desire to break away from the bonds of it - and become something innocent, impeccable and noble, like a horse, for example... it's just a feeling i often have, but is sort of hard to describe...
I believe the reference to the White Witch and such is about Chronicles of Narnia. That ties in with the Harry Potter stuff too.
enough with the harry potter interpretations, stolenbus.
maybe its about having psychotic feelings, or fever hallucinations or drugs. and i seriously doubt any liars lyrics relate to harry potter or narnia or the such
BLOOD!
Actually, the "children who stood in the way of the endless winter, of the white witch" seems like a pretty obvious Narnia reference to me. Is it so impossible that they've read and enjoy the book?
this song and cd is about the Salem witch trials. most of the liars cds are concepts, but the lay wouldnt quite understand, to complicated ya see.
