Let's Dance (David Bowie cover) Lyrics
Let's dance
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
Let's dance
To the song they're playin' on the radio
Let's sway
While colour lights up your face
Let's sway
Sway through the crowd to an empty space
If you say run, I'll run with you
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower
Let's dance
For fear your grace should fall
Let's dance
For fear tonight is all
Let's sway
You could look into my eyes
Let's sway
Under the moonlight, this serious moonlight
If you say run, I'll run with you
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
Let's dance
To the song they're playin' on the radio
While colour lights up your face
Let's sway
Sway through the crowd to an empty space
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower
For fear your grace should fall
Let's dance
For fear tonight is all
You could look into my eyes
Let's sway
Under the moonlight, this serious moonlight
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower

this is a david bowie cover
i actually like m. ward's version of the song a lot better & i'm not sure why - i just like the completely different feeling it gives me
this makes me like the bowie song a lot more too though.
Yeah, I agree, I also like M. Wards version a lot better. It's the way that he sings it with emotion an feeling that really gets to me.
and feeling*
i think m wards voice is so beautiful and bluesy. i love it.
my favorite part is when he sings "because my love for you." so tender and beautiful.
he sings, "let's dance / for fear that life is all" not "for fear tonight is all"
I first heard this song on the movie "Eagle Vs Shark," and I fell in love with it. I've never heard the original Bowie version, but I'm afraid it'll ruin it for me, judging by the comparisons I've heard.
He totally changes the mood in this song, its amazing. It really shows off the depth of Bowie's killer lyricss!
