Julie and Candy was eerie and omenous when I first heard it. Those flutes or whistles mixed with all those percussive samples was like some huge, mad, steam-driven contraption, larger than the mind can comprehend. The rhythm was very appealing to me, although I couldn't explain it in musical terms.
Seeing the title made it even eerier, since I had a Julie and candy memory standing out from my past, all formative and enduring; spooky, the way old memories can be.

One of the most amazing BoC tunes, reminds me of girls playing skipping rope dancing games in the playground when I was a child.
It reminds me of a girl in a white dress with a matching sun hat running through a field of sunflowers...I dunno. It sure doesn't sound like a song about drug dealing. And I heard "You slay me Andre" too, now that you mention it :-P
julie and candy are probably members of hexagon sun. anyone have any idea where the vocal samples are from?
@sqyishybod vocal samples are from adult film "Summer of '72" (which is also the source of samples found in "Sixtyniner" / "Sir Prancelot Brainfire", "Niagara" and "P:C:"), There is a character duo named "Julie" and "Candy", so the title is probably a reference to them, not Hexagon Sun members
