Who's Gonna Save Us? Lyrics
It's all around me and
I just don't understand
Seems all out of place now
And I know it's late
But you know what they say now
We're under attack now
Our work is all cut out
Whatever happened to your rights?
And I know it's late
But you know what they say now
So where's the writing on the wall
Who's gonna save us?
Who's gonna provide us?
Who's gonna divide us?
Who's gonna save us?
We're under powered now
Trial devoured now
Step aside make way for the new leader
And it's getting late
But you know what they say now
I just don't understand
Seems all out of place now
And I know it's late
But you know what they say now
Our work is all cut out
Whatever happened to your rights?
And I know it's late
But you know what they say now
Who's gonna save us?
Who's gonna provide us?
Who's gonna divide us?
Who's gonna save us?
Trial devoured now
Step aside make way for the new leader
And it's getting late
But you know what they say now

About the California Recall. Or could be about any election, but was written when this was going on.
just me commenting on my own song. all about the government and how fucked up it is right now. they're not gonna save up from all the fucked up stuff in the world, so who will
^^ What he said.
From the words of the band, the song is about the gulf-war and how people are being sent to fight each other, many of whom probably didn't know who they were fighting for or against anyway.
(It can't be about the California Recall because the band's Australian!)
i'm doing a year 11 english assignment about australian identity and chose this as one of my songs. more comments on what the song is about would help althought he lyrics are quite self-explanatory.
Kick ass song. Well the chorus is, oo yeah.
just a lil wake up to the americans - no offense intended - but you guys ain't the only country with a fucked up government. we aussies have one too, mainly coz howard is just kissin bush's ass. anyway, it's plainly asking "who's gonna save us" in a society where we as individuals stand for nothing
This song reminds me of the summer I went to Aus. I think it's talking about society and whatnot being messed up. Great band.
Great Song
This is such a powerful song. Everytime I listen to it, I cannot help but shout out and sing along.
