This song is about someone you've lost yet despite the pain you've come through knowing that they are still there watching over you. I adore this song and everytime I hear it I'm reminded of my grandfather and the fact that despite how much it hurts and how much I miss him, he is still watching over me.
This song is about his dads death, he was an alchoholic, well thats at least what I'm told from the lead singer's(scott?) cousins(jason) girlfriends(kelly) brother(steven), who happens to be my best friend
Btw when this band was the best band I had ever heard live, his voice sound exactly like it did on the album

coming from a borderline alcoholic at the age of 17, this song means alot to me and those 2 lines blew me away first time i heard em, this song is a big part of what cleaned me up
