Motor Head Lyrics

Sunrise, wrong side of another day,
Sky high and six thousand miles away,
Don't know how long I've been awake,
Wound up in an amazing state,
Can't get enough,
And you know it's righteous stuff,
Goes up like prices at Christmas,
Motorhead, you can call me Motorhead, alright

Brain dead, total amnesia,
Get some mental anasthesia,
Don't move, I'll shut the door and kill the lights,
And if I can't be wrong I could be right,
All good clean fun,
Have another stick of gum,
Man, you look better already,
Motorhead, remember me now Motorhead, alright

Fourth day, five day marathon,
We're moving like a parallelogram,
Don't move, I'll shut the door and kill the lights,
I guess I'll see you all on the ice,
I should be tired,
And all I am is wired,
Ain't felt this good for an hour,
Motorhead, remember me now, Motorhead alright

Lol the last song Lemmy wrote with Hawkwind apparently. So is this a cover?

Just a song about Speed (amphetamines), a Motorhead being a Speed-freak. I remember an awkward moment on a British TV Children's show (Tiswas), where Sally James asked the band what the name meant... they got out of it quite well.

nice song, as the guy said, it's about the drug "speed", which, along with "acid", lemmy was notorious for using back in the ol' days. just a good thing he didn't pull an ozzy osbourne on us, otherwise we wouldn't have masterpieces like this and stone dead forever. also listen to "speedfreak" off of the ace of spades album, which is also about speed.

For me I was 8 years old I listened to Adam & The Ants who had some pretty fierce songs themselves (loved the Burrundi drumming style) and then I heard it -

Motorhead's Motorhead and my music taste changed forever.

Lemmy - you may be gone brother but your music and soul live on in the heart of every Metalhead.
