That Mouth Lyrics
As your lover, I have my doubts that you kiss your mother with that mouth. You put it on me. Up and down me. We had a good time crossing those lines. Now that we're friends, it's becoming more and more clear that your vampire boyfriend isn't going anywhere. You put me on. You put on a good show.
(At least I can see myself in the mirror.)

i think it's about cheating. even so, this song is amazing.
first of all, definitely my favorite owen song. amazing sound and vocals. anyways, its clearly about cheating if you think about it. i think its about a guy and girl who were once together, or were once sleeping together, but he mightve caught her cheating on him (or found out shes been sleeping with someone else too), so they either broke up or just became friends, depending on the situation. thinking maybe it was a temporary thing between her and her lover and thinking that they could someday be together again, he held on. but it was clear she wasnt gonna stop sleeping with this guy (she only sees him at night, thus vampire boyfriend). the only comfort he gets is knowing he'll never be like that (he can see himself in the mrror, therefore not a vampire)
This is such a good song.
This is such a good song.
Last line. Pure beauty.
i think it means.. they were having an affair, they used to have a lot of sex, and she was uninhibited, so that's why he says the line "i have my doubts you kiss your mother with that mouth." and then either they broke up, or just stopped having sex, and now they're being just friends. and he wanted her to break up with her boyfriend but "it's becoming more and more clear that your vampire boyfriend isn't going anywhere." - she has no intention of breaking up with her boyfriend.
this makes me want to jump off a cliff. it really does. how can someone make music that is this sad?
This is probably my favorite Owen song...although Kinsella has so many amazing ones.
