Ok, way way off... There is a type of marijuana called Tangerine-something (I can't remember) But what's special about it is that when you exhale it is orange (tangerine) smoke. I think this is just about that kind of weed. Just sayin-

Telling someone to say goodbye to a tangerine sky, and say hello to tomorrow...that shows to me, that you must say goodbye to your surroundings and get ready for the future. Which leads me to believe that this song, is about maturity. Tangerine sky sounds a bit childish to me. Tomorrow, could be a new life, or a new job, or even a new relationship.
