I wondered if you could come and help me,
I want to get from here,
To there.
I wondered if you could come and help me,
I want to get from here,
To there.
I saw your face look
Down to mine,
I only hope that you're alright.
I know you think it's always think you who
Needs some time alone,
Needs some time alone,
To feel *I wondered if you could come and help me* down.
*I want to get from here
To there.*
To feel *I wondered if you could come and help me* down.
*I want to get from here
To there.*
After tonight another day,
A chance to feel a different way,
The sun is slowly changin' size still,
Sorrow in your eyes,
Sorrow in your eyes.
So feel *I wondered if you could come and help me* down.
*I want to get from here
To there.*
So feel *I wondered if you could come and help me* down.
*I want to get from here
To there.*
Heavy hearts swing low,
Feel down let go.
So feel *Feel down let go* down.
*I want to get from here
To there.*
So feel *Feel down let go* down.
*I want to get from here
To there.*
Feel *Feel down let go* down.
*I want to get from here
To there.*
So feel *Feel down let go* down.
*I want to get from here
To there.*
I wondered if you could come and help me
I want to get from here,
To there.
I want to get from here,
To there.
Down to mine,
I only hope that you're alright.
I know you think it's always think you who
Needs some time alone,
Needs some time alone,
*I want to get from here
To there.*
*I want to get from here
To there.*
A chance to feel a different way,
The sun is slowly changin' size still,
Sorrow in your eyes,
Sorrow in your eyes.
*I want to get from here
To there.*
*I want to get from here
To there.*
Feel down let go.
*I want to get from here
To there.*
*I want to get from here
To there.*
*I want to get from here
To there.*
*I want to get from here

first i have to say i love the song... and the beat and how it's very uplifting for a sad subject.
i think it's about a person who's really sad but can't seem to get up, sad, depressed, etc.... so the person is reaching out to a friend... "i wondered if you could come and help me" because the person doesn't want to be sad anymore... "i want to get from here to there."
It has somewhat sad lyrics but it's an uplifting song. It's about feeling down and how it's ok to feel that way; everyone knows what it's like. It also seems like a story of personal experience where one person noticed someone else was unhappy "I saw your face look down tonight" and seeing this they want the person to be alright but at the same time they are saying that there is nothing wrong with what they are feeling. Partly because that mood will change "After tonight another day,/A chance to feel a different way." It's also a song about how everyone wants to be helped out. The part "I want to get from here, to there" is more of a background voice, showing that most people do not really reach out when they want to be helped. They simple expect, or rather hope that someone will help.
That's just my guess. Either way the song is very peaceful and pretty.
this song's pretty good, it doesn't sound anything like a typical Metric song, if a 'typical' song by Metric even exists.
it sounds like Stars, i was just listening to it and i actually thought for sure it was Stars.
This definitely sounds like Amy Millan. I wonder if it is.
oh true! i wouldn't be all that suprised actually. its so hard to tell because they have really similar voices. the "heavy hearts swing low" part definitely sounds like a Stars' lyric. but i kind of feel like it's Emily singing because she seems to have a thinner voice than Amy's. that would be awesome if it was Amy though :D
The more I listen to it, the less it sounds like Amy. I'm quite sure it's Emily, now. You're completely right: the voice is thinner. Either way, this song is bomb.
agreed, probably the most chill metric song i've heard.
I always thought it was "the sun is slowly changin' sides, still sorrow in your eyes..." I guess they both make the same sense eh? Such a good song though. I like her falsetto at the end. FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL DOWN!
