Scary world theory Lyrics

I've never said you'll have to
be afraid
of the cookie monster
beside your bed

It's not the real
The real one's in your head
Beyond control
The true one cuts you dead

It's a real fight
It's a war

When destruction takes over
There is no escape
Every shot on target
Perpetrator knows how to strike

It's very nice song. I think it's about the human scars. There are 2 kinds of monsters - the fake one is imaginary, and the real one living in your head. So the song says "Don't be afraid of the fake one, because it's not real and can't hurt you. Be afraid of the monster who lives in you, because he's the only one that can hurt you." Maybe we're often afraid of the fake monsters all around us, but we forget about the real monsters in ourselves.
