Return (Coming Home) Lyrics

I've seen the terrible hand of struggle
and felt the pain that hubris brings
I have tasted the wisdom of divinity
and the horror of its sting

And though they tell you i am lost
and their words report my death is come
the fates have left me breathing still
Very much alive

And though my mind is cut by battles
fought so long ago
I return victorious
I am coming home
And if the paths that I have followed
have tread against the flow
there is no need for sorrow
I am coming home

For the distance I have traveled
Upon an ocean of despair
has led me back into your arms once more
an answer to a little prayer

And though they tell you i am lost
and their words report my death is come
the fates have left me breathing still
Very much alive

(x3)
And though my mind is cut by battles
fought so long ago
I return victorious
I am coming home
And if the paths that I have followed
have tread against the flow
there is no need for sorrow
I am coming home

Well, I think this song is about homecoming. But, I mean, that's just my personal opinion... ;p

It's a good theme, I like it. Except there is nothing I feel like analyzing here...guess we can't always get what we want though.

But first word that comes to mind = Odyssious....odessey...odyssey...ah gah, fuck spelling.

Thats what I thought of at first too, ancient epic tales, like the Odessy and such... I have tasted the wisdom of divinity and the horror of its sting - my favorite line

Yep, it's adefinitely bout Odysseus. Even if it's deduced only from the fact that the Cruxshadows are obviously very fond of ancient history, specifically the Trojan War.

A lot of Rogue's song writing lands on ancient times. Mythology, tales of olde, and history seem to play the biggest parts aside from the Dreamcypher albums. If you've heard Dreamcypher, it's obvious as to what I'm referring.
