Actually, You Gave Your Love was written separately, but ended up being used because the studio didn't like Wanda, which is written from the perspective of Angus. Part of why they didn't use it is because in the original cut of the film, it was established that the character's father was gay and that his mother was a trucker. However, the movie was recut to have the mother dead and no mention of the father's homosexuality was made.

As short and simple as the lyrics are, I really have a liking for this song. It's got a slow feeling and overall, it's just an amazingly good song about how he pushed away a girl and now realizes that she was all he needed all the time.

Its actually just called "Wanda."
It's about an inflatable sex doll that he named Wanda. The lyrics all make sense. He threw the doll away. She is the only thing that understands him. she "dances" with him. The doll's family is normal while his is weird. The "dummy" in the opening verse.
