Hmm, to me, this song is describing The Jungle Book. I know that sounds a bit obvious because of the jungle/tigers part, but hear me out. XD;
"you've seen this kid before he sits fists clenched" "when the truth has been realized" Seems to be talking about Mowgli when he's told that he has to go back to the village with his people,
"when he looks inward he sees disgust disgust for a jungle that is alive a hand-me down false hope is hard to swallow" Describes when he finally realizes that the jungle that has been his home for so many years is "abandoning" him...

Just a guess, I'm probably wrong, but most of this artist's songs are literary references, so I thought I'd give it a shot. :3
i'd have to agree. it does make sense and most of gatsbys stuff is about quirky stuff like history and literature.
