I know I'm dead before my time
I know it's coming down
If you could only see what's right
You'd see what's coming 'round
So I walk alone
I ask no quarter friend
I walk alone
Till I find you again
I know no place to call my bed
But I know this thorny crown
If you would only feed your head
You'd see your hands are bound
I know it's coming down
If you could only see what's right
You'd see what's coming 'round
So I walk alone
I ask no quarter friend
I walk alone
Till I find you again
I know no place to call my bed
But I know this thorny crown
If you would only feed your head
You'd see your hands are bound

I can't believe no one commented on this song! It's an awesome song that came from a dying band. I'm going to miss Fuel.
Fuel is not dying.... they are currently making a new album. I know I'm a little late on this cd, but I just bought it yesterday. I picked up the old copy of "Something Like Human" that I had and then I saw this cd. Awesome cd.
I first heard this song on the NFL street game, and found out that this wuz fuels song, and i had Somthing Like Human already so i had to pick the CD up. it's my favorite fuel CD.The solo is killer, the lyrics are dark, and Brett Scallions' vocals are wicked. Great opener. Fuel isn't gonna b the same without Brett, he's such a great singer, my fav behind Layne Staley, James Hetfield and Sully Erna.

oh my god, this song needs more comments. its just so badass. i knew i loved it the minute i heard it on NFSU.
I just got back from River Riot, a concert in Council Bluffs, Iowa, this weekend and I got to see Fuel play this song. This was one of the songs that my buddy and I hoped they would play and everyone went nuts when they did.
The new lead singer isn't half bad, he actually sounded a lot like Brett Scallions when he sang Fuel's older songs. He was pretty neat, he came out to the crowd and was giving out fives and since we were front and center I got one...
The way i see this, this song cleary has no connection with religion. It is about how the society ignores those who are homeless and they dont even listen to them.Everyone automaticly thinks that they are begging for money, but they only want to be heard. Many of these people are actually much smarter than they look, but they are positioned this way by the society.
I've always applied this song to drag racing (quarter, quarter mile races). Maybe that's because it was on some racing games that I have played, like NASCAR Thunder 2004 or Need For Speed Underground. However, it's a great song. This has got to be my favorite song by this band.
well i think its about his walk with God and how he walked alone until he had him in his life
