I've always thought it was about how two people were dating but the guy sees that he's girlfriend is better then him so he thinks they should break-up so she can find someone better then him...i don't know, just a thought

That whole part hit's really close to home for me right now. This is an amazing song by an amazing band. RIP.
My favourite song by Carissa's Wierd, to me its about two people who like or have liked eachother and they've kind of tried to have a relationship but it just wouldn't work, something held them back or they just weren't a good fit.

I think at the same time they've given up on a relationship they realize they'll always care about eachother and in that they're perfect and ugly valentines and in the meantime, they'll just have fun as friends.
