My First Stereo Lyrics
Somethin' tells me I'll never be close to another like you
helped me through the things that we all go through.
You make every song sound better,
taught me how to write a letter
I think everyone should get along like me and my first stereo
And you used to sing me to sleep
and always stood behind me
Everyone wants, everyone needs,
everyone hurts sometimes like me
It never rejects me, always accepts me
nothing can compete with my first stereo
Green light, outta my way
seems like just yesterday
that you played me my very first mix tape
Gave me the courage to say what I wanted to say
when it never comes out that way
oops, I'm in trouble again. should of listened to them
Back to my room and then we're safe now
Feels like when we were ten, in my room listenin
To some Michael Jackson, relaxin'
And you used to sing me to sleep
and always stood behind me
you saw me off when I had to go
my first true love was my first stereo
Everyone wants, everyone needs,
everyone hurts sometimes like me
It never rejects me, always accepts me
nothing can compete with my first stereo
Everyone wants, everyone needs,
nobodys perfect just like me
into the stereo is the place I go
I wonder what's playin' next on the radio?
Somethin' tells me I'll never be close to another like you
helped me throught the things that we all go through.
Everyone wants, everyone needs,
everyone hurts sometimes like me
It never rejects me, always accepts me
nothing can compete with my first stereo
Everyone wants, everyone needs,
nobodys perfect just like me
into the stereo is the place I go

This song rocks. Totally. He's just very clearly paying tribute to his first ever stereo. At first, you'd think it's a girl he's singing about, but when it gets to the chorus, you realise he loves his stereo, and that it's always there for him, and that nothing, not even a girl "can compete with [his] first stereo".
Lol wow i cant belive their are even two posts about such a rare band. they should come out with a new album. get themselvs known more. if they dont thier are othe punk christian bands....."Relient K"
romo, they DO have another album. silly.
that was posted on 11th martch 2006, noone knew about citically ashamed at that time I don't believe.
they are not christian punk, just a pop punk bands with some christian meanings. This is a comparison about how we should all get along, in perfect harmony and without any conflict. Just like trevor and his first stereo.
catchyy shit son!
Meh i agree. Music is deffo my love xD
lol I love this song. It's just about how he loved his first stereo cause music got him through alot.
FM Static isn't quite as awesome as Thousand Foot Krutch, but Trevor is amazing in both bands.
It's kinda funny, actually. I think this is a great song--very catchy, fun, etc. My sister owns--and loves--the CD, so I hear it enough. I like the song--BUT listening to the lyrics--this guy's a LOSER!
"Everyone wants, everyone needs, everyone hurts sometimes like me It never rejects me, always accepts me nothing can compete with my first stereo..... Somethin' tells me I'll never be close to another like you helped me throught the things that we all go through."
That's so...pathetic. Anyways, that's my harsh little interpretation...;-)
