Twilight of the gods was supposed to be Bathorys last album. I think this song is about the heartcondition that Quorthon was born with and which later caused his much too early death. My interpretation of this song is that its a thank you song to all the friends that stood Quarthon by eventhough his heart could failure at any time. Just my thoughts, cheers
I think this one was dedicated to Quorthon. Not quite sure, I'm not a big Bathory fan. Great song though.
I'm not quite sure what this song means. It sounds almost like a "farewell" song... The "hall up high" I presume is Valhalla, and Quorthon is saying to all those who stood by him and were his dear friends, I'll meet you there.
The song is a Viking funeral hymn, set to Gustav holst' "Jupiter" from the planets composition. He's also speaking of his music, coming from the north to the world, and thanking all those who listened to it. I do also think it was a farewell, considering he knew he could die young and was at the time done recording music. But over all, it's just his take on a Viking dying and saying goodbye and to not cry for him, because his life was good, and he's now with his brothers in Valhalla.
