I think this is a love and sex song. Love makes people do crazy things. With S&M, there is some pain involved in sex, along with pleasure. This is a song (to me) about S&M.

I definitely think it's about religion, lines like:

definitely chime for organised religion in my opinion. The only lines that throws me is "Can't let your mind be tainted/By the praying men" - to me that seems like the oppostie of what I think the rest of the song is saying ... anyone know what this line is referring to?
