It's Everybody's Fault but Mine Lyrics
everything has got a sense
a permanence attached to it
sucks you in and feeds you till
finally you're used to it
and now you're so dependent
now you're so defensive
now you're finding reasons
why they're all wrong
so in love with
all your vices
you can't change
or move on
and it comes to this
such tragic endings
you shake your fists
just stop pretending
it comes to this
such tragic endings
it's hit or miss
just stop pretending now
now everyone keeps asking you
"what exactly happened?"
you've got all these excuses but
you don't have an answer
'cause you don't know yourself
you don't know your own weaknesses
you're always innocent
because you're never honest
so wrapped up in
your perspective
morality's become an opinion
it comes to this
such tragic endings
you shake your fists
just stop pretending
it comes to this
such tragic endings
it's hit or miss
just stop pretending now
you wanted to be left alone
wanted someone to say
"boy i'm always here for you"
but you can't have it both ways
no, no one knows what you've done
no one knows what you've done
no one knows what you've done
and it's just as well
the only thing that comforts me is
knowing that you'll never be happy
a permanence attached to it
sucks you in and feeds you till
finally you're used to it
and now you're so dependent
now you're so defensive
now you're finding reasons
why they're all wrong
all your vices
you can't change
or move on
such tragic endings
you shake your fists
just stop pretending

i can relate to this song. it reminds me of my bestfriend=[
this song is about adam from taking back sunday...right?
so wrapped up in your perspective morality's become an opinion
awwww i love that line
but yeah i def. think this is about adam
these lyrics are intense...its awesome! lol so much drama.
kinda sad in a way, but im sure all is well :)
you're always innocent because you're never honest
BURNED!
ha john owns adam in this song
idk I think TBS's "Follow the Format" is a pretty good zing back at John.
Follow The Format is the only new tbs song that I even like.
"Well I’m a slave to my vices (It’s true)"- follow the format "so in love with all your vices"
follow the format beats the shit out of this song im a fan of both but FTF is just too great
the thing is, John Nolan writes with alot of hidden punchlines that only a few can understand, unlike Adam that write it out in the open. that was always the strong point of the old tbs, with metaphorical lines and such.
I think taking punches at eachother is kinda childish. Seriously... now we've got Brand New taking sings at TBS. TBS swinging back at Brand New. TBS taking swings at Straylight Run, Straylight Run swinging at TBS... and Jesse Lacey singing for Straylight Run?
Seriously, where's the love? I'm glad this isn't on the CD...
