This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
We're gonna grow you up slowly
We're gonna chain you to steel
Sand in the hand
Will tell you in the end
Nest your veins and slumber
While I feed my arms for love murder
Round about, round about, round about now
Sorry to say, the others didn't make it
Round about, round about, round about now
You're my ticket outta here
Devour you slowly
Love you to death
Sand in the hand
Will tell you in the end
Nest your veins and slumber
For it's a-comin'
Round about, round about, round about now
Sorry to say, the others didn't make it
Round about, round about, round about now
You're my ticket out of here
Daddy's little blue eyes, I come for you
Ain't gonna leave her behind
Daddy's little blue eyes, I come for you
They're gonna leave you behind
Daddy's little blue eyes, I come for you
Ain't gonna leave her behind
Daddy's little blue eyes, I come for you
Ain't gonna leave her behind
Daddy's little blue eyes, I come for you (Ooooh)
Ain't gonna leave her behind, behind, yeah (Ooooh)
Leave her behind
Ain't gonna leave her behind
Blue eyes, oh ho
You're my ticket out of here
We're gonna chain you to steel
Sand in the hand
Will tell you in the end
Nest your veins and slumber
While I feed my arms for love murder
Round about, round about, round about now
Sorry to say, the others didn't make it
Round about, round about, round about now
You're my ticket outta here
Devour you slowly
Love you to death
Sand in the hand
Will tell you in the end

Round about, round about, round about now

Round about, round about, round about now

Daddy's little blue eyes, I come for you
Ain't gonna leave her behind
Daddy's little blue eyes, I come for you

Daddy's little blue eyes, I come for you

Daddy's little blue eyes, I come for you
Ain't gonna leave her behind
Daddy's little blue eyes, I come for you (Ooooh)

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
This song is so raw and perfect. Whenever it comes on I usually have to play it a couple times before I've had enough of it.
love this song. its so genuine and delicate, really cuts into the core of exactly what it stands for. and they are awesome live, arno carstens rocks
"We're gonna chain you in to steel" "Nest your veins in slumber" "Love you to death" "For it'sa coming"
I love this song. It still gives me goosebumps after all these years It sounds like Arno Carstens is singing the most deep and profound words. But what do they mean??? I don't understand these lyrics. Someone please enlighten me. I thank you in advance
@GirlonBass

The song was written to the South African Police Service.

Due to the pressure and danger they work with, a lot of officers turn to suicide. Unfortunately before committing suicide they turn on their family as well, killing them before committing suicide.

The song lyrics... Daddy's little blue eyes, referring to the blue uniform the police wear.

This is according to Arno Carstens. During an interview on radio, but I only listened with half a ear. I may be wrong.
@Woseck thank you for the explanation from Arno Carstens. Much appreciated
Not surprisingly this song reminds me of my summer in South Africa, this song just has warmth and is great to laze out to
Is it me or is this song more about the nazi era?
