I Do (It) Lyrics
uh
i do it
i do it to you
(Let's do it)
all you christians
all you krishnas
we do weddings & bar mitzvahs!
we'll float with your parade
(so long as we're getting paid)
no principles just vice principles!
we wouldn't lie
"you've got it made"
we'll tell you what you want as long as we get paid
satisfy the bride
fellate the groom
to inflate your party balloons /
we're gonna need a little bit more room
sure i'm qualified
i'll do anything you say
as long as i'm getting paid
no principles, just vice principles
we wouldn't lie
you've got it made
we'll tell you what you want as long as we get paid
WE'LL PROSELYTIZE AROUND YOUR THIGHS
THIS CONCERT IS SPONSERED BY THOSE FRENCH FRIES!!

By "do it", it sounds more like they're going to perform. Like performing a concert at a bar mitzvah or a wedding.
this song is about doing anything for money, whether it be giving musical, or even sexual performances, since it has the 'satisfy the bride/fellate the groom' part in there. [if you dont kkow what 'fellate' means, i suggest you look it up; it really puts that part into context, as well as being highly amusing.]
also the 'ill do anything you say/so long as im getting paid' and 'no principles' parts really smack of prostitution.
although i highly doubt theyre being serious, those parts sure make for interesting and amusing lyrics.
Yeah, this is just about doing anything for money. Shows, plugging sponsers on stage, sexual favors... Give 'em money, and they're yours. An interesting subject, one that's rarely breached... More common to hear is, "I'll live in the gutter if I can keep making art!" I think they're joking, but it's still a fresh perspective.
The line about "vice principles" is particularily clever. The music in this song, too, as unpolished as it is, is great. I love it when someone sneezes and someone else says, "bless you," and the song keeps going.
This is my favorite Unicorns song. Before I actually payed attention to the lyrics I thought they sounded very serious and after I realized what the song is about I realized how great it is.
just a tad correction *no principles just vice principals!
actually, i'm not sure about what i just posted. i was thinking that that line was supposed to be a pun referencing the prostitution aspect the theme of this songs suggests. but maybe it is meant to be principles
I think "vice" is a double entendre, so youre not wrong.
Great song, definitely about whoring yourself out for some cash.
