All At Sea Lyrics
I'm all at sea
Where no one can bother me
Forgot my roots
If only for a day
Just me and my thoughts
Sitting far away
Like a warm drink it seeps into my soul
Please just leave me right here on my own
Later on you could spend some time with me
If you want to, all at sea
I'm all at sea
Where no one can bother me
I sleep by myself
I drink on my own
I don’t speak to nobody
I gave away my phone
Like a warm drink it seeps into my soul
Please just leave me right here on my own
Later on you could spend some time with me
If you want to, all at sea
Now I need you more than ever
I need you more than ever now
If you don’t need it every day
But sometimes don’t you just crave
To disappear within your mind
You never know what you might find
So come and spend some time with me
And we will spend it all at sea
Like a warm drink it seeps into my soul
Please just leave me right here on my own
Later on you could spend some time with me
If you want to, all at sea
Ooooh
If you want to, all at sea
If you want to
Where no one can bother me
Forgot my roots
If only for a day
Just me and my thoughts
Sitting far away
Please just leave me right here on my own
Later on you could spend some time with me
If you want to, all at sea
Where no one can bother me
I sleep by myself
I drink on my own
I don’t speak to nobody
I gave away my phone
Please just leave me right here on my own
Later on you could spend some time with me
If you want to, all at sea
I need you more than ever now
But sometimes don’t you just crave
To disappear within your mind
You never know what you might find
So come and spend some time with me
And we will spend it all at sea
Please just leave me right here on my own
Later on you could spend some time with me
If you want to, all at sea
If you want to, all at sea
If you want to

The best song on Jamie Cullum's album. The song is about escaping to a a quite place where nobody knows you and where you don't care about who you are and what the your past represents to other people.I believe that every one of us comes to a point in his life when he wishes to do that and God, i wish i could be lucky enough someday to do that.
I just wanted to add that Cullum's piano work on this song is so beautiful and precious. He's an amazing talent. I bought this album for the title track, but All at Sea sucked me in on the first listen. Awesome song!
This song makes me so emotional. Being a "twenty-something" year old woman I can relate completely to that feeling of being so honestly tired of everyone that surrounds you...the pressure, getting a degree, getting a good job, and managing to be succesful with your personal life as well. In those moments of darkness I wish so much people would leave me alone to rest a little bit and get to be myself again...like Jamie says "but sometimes don't you just crave...to dissapear within your mind?"...And at the same time, knowing perfectly that it won't take long until you're back to your people, a little more stronger ("later on you can spend some time with me...")...and being alone you really get to understand how much you love them ("I need you more than ever...")... I think a little bit of distance and time to yourself is so healing...I am dying to do that, who knows if that day will ever come.
It is good sometimes to have a break from everyone and everything. Jamie Cullum has great talents.
Yes exactly!

This song is awesome.. my quiet place where i can find myself is the beach.. and being from jersey.. the beach is unreachable in the winter.. so this song just relaxes me when i cant be there.. awesome jamie awesome
I totally agree with Joekubrick. Love this song!
One of my favorite songs ever. I think its about someone who acts like he doesnt need love and care, but deep down its all he wants: 'now i need you more than ever before'
Actually I'm pretty sure that Jamie wrote this when he was performing on a cruise ship hence "All at Sea"
The best part musically is when he introduces the quicker pace about halfway to two-thirds of the way through the tune. It fuses two or maybe three genres that really are almost mutually exclusive. Rock, classical, jazz fused together in such a unique way make me want to find more. Jamie Cullum is one of the few breathes of fresh air left in this dilluted world called popular music. It really doesn't surprise me that he hasn't become that popular on this side of the Atlantic...he's not processed and he doesn't record his music with computer engineering. He uses analog recording like the White Stripes. That is a reason to keep an eye on Jamie Cullum.
Hey Ataris, Im from jersey too. I know what you mean about the beach. The first time I heard this song, or saw the video rather, I knew I loved it right away. Im not sure what this song is about, escaping to be by yourself, even for a little bit, than he says, later on you can spend some time with me, if you want to all at sea. I think its remember who you are and where you came from. Thats just my opinion from the lyrics.
