No sleep
No sleep until I'm done with finding the answer
Won't stop
Won't stop before I find a cure for this cancer

Sometimes I feel like going down I'm so disconnected
Somehow I know that I am haunted to be wanted

I've been watching, I've been waiting
In the shadows for my time
I've been searching, I've been living
For tomorrow's all my life
In the shadows
In the shadows

They say that I must learn to kill before I can feel safe
But I, I'd rather kill myself than turn into their slave

Sometimes I feel that I should go and play with the thunder
Somehow I just don't want to stay and wait for a wonder

I've been watching, I've been waiting
In the shadows for my time
I've been searching, I've been living
For tomorrow all my life

Lately, I've been walking, walking in circles
Watching, waiting for something
Feel me, touch me, heal me
Come take me higher

I've been watching, I've been waiting
In the shadows for my time
I've been searching, I've been living
For tomorrow all my life

I've been watching, I've been waiting
I've been searching, I've been living
For tomorrow

Oh oh
Oh oh
In the shadows
Oh oh
Oh oh
In the shadows
I've been waiting

wow you guys are pathetic...oh quiffporn, um even though I actually like the band, I grew out of it because I was going through my 'teenage' phase but even though you think they suck, um I don't know. I look back and sometimes I just don't get what they are even saying but yet I like it, I just do. But the way you argued quiffporn until now :) but realize that ever since quiffporn (hi there, you really started a war down here smiles) stated that he/she hates this band, everyone started insulting he/she and stated why they don't suck. I mean it's your opinions, whatever you like is fine with me. I won't make fun of you if you like opera, it's just music. There are some immature people here, I came down here to actually discuss the meaning to this song, but all I find is argument after argument; but it was fun reading all of your posts, funny somehow but let me just get over that. When I first listened to this song, I heard it in a KHI-II video, and the song was okay and so I went and downloaded it. I rarely listen to them anymore but I still like how they sing. um...x-music-is-life-x calm down, just ignore they person who said that because I loved HIM as well, but I'm not mad about it. Simple thing: Get over it, whatever you think is good music, it's good music so don't listen to other people's 'I hate this band and they suck' opinions, because you are only satisfying them, unless they argue enough to get you to hate the song. I think the freshmens in my school are more mature, just grow up. So far I have read like 4-5 meanings to the song, so who wants to talk?

Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
