Infrared Lyrics
I think this song is about globalization, mostly because the music video was. correct me if im wrong
this music is about how ppl are so obsesed with there image. And how ppl try to cover up who they actully are with fancy clothing and stuff
ya agree with ya, and i think beyond that it talks about how lame fashion obsessed people cant even fool themselves... 'the mirror is everyones tomb'
I dunno i'd have to say this is my favorite.
y so few comments? this song is amazing
definately about the big cover up under corporate shit - an exceptional song
I hate this song... infact I hate all of dead fm, i think it's terrible compared to their older stuff.
shit wrong song....
"losing sights of our roots in the cathode rays" love it, I don't exactly know what the artist meant by that line but I interpret it rather profoundly. A cathode ray was a set-up used by JJ Thompson when he discovered the existence and properties of electrons. The first solid evidence of the existence of subatomic particles. So, thanks to the cathode tube and its revelation, we were able to delve in much deeper into the science of chemistry. So within the cathode ray, we lost vision of what is really important in life, the real challenges we as the human race face. more later, gotta run!
So, I've found the cathode ray reference to be more blatant, I must have been overanalyzing. Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT's) are employed into your traditional televisions.
So the reference is therefore speaking of how many hitch themselves to unreality in their living rooms.
Lesson of the day from Strike Anywhere: fuck television.
