Ice Heavy Branches Lyrics
It's all in the air
it covers everything
now it's coming down
now it's on the brink
it turns the trees
to diamond things
but it weighs too much
breaks everything
we could both be naked now and innocent
It breaks everything
Everything breaks
under all it's weight
and it's covered us
We could strip it off
We could both be naked now and innocent.
It breaks everything
it covers everything
now it's coming down
now it's on the brink
to diamond things
but it weighs too much
breaks everything
It breaks everything
under all it's weight
and it's covered us
We could strip it off
It breaks everything

This is an ode to the pressure of love and relationships. They could be naked and free of the constraints of serious realations by just enjoying each other.
thanks! i was pretty sure what it meant, but i wanted to double check.
and yeah, lets keep this website to SONG MEANINGS like the person above me...NOT your opinion's about the song.
totally relate to this. like when you have a girlfriend and things are getting pretty serious and even though you want to be with them and love them so much you want to just chill out and take a step back, start having fun again. 'we could both be naked now and innocent' just highlights how he wishes the carefree attitude they had when they first got together has gone.
a very strong, meaning full song, quite simple, yet complex, it's incredible
Can so relate to that feeling.
Anyone else get the feeling it's not about a girl, but maybe about a materialistic world?
'It turns the trees to diamond things' 'We could both be naked now and innocent'
Maybe he's writing about materials and desires covering the world with a heavy burden and the more we pile on, the worse it'll get.. We could strip it all off and be naked and free? Who knows, maybe it's just me..
Excellent song regardless :)
