My veins are poppin' from this love inside
I just can't let it out
This pipe and these needles are my only guide
They've got me on the wrong route
What is my life about?
Living in the shadows of a man I've never seen
And dreamin' like a lonely child
I know your brothers and your sister and your mother too
Man I wish you could see them too
Oh Lord, Oh Lord
Man I wish that you could see them too
Man I wish that you could see them too
So can I come to see you sometime?
Cause I've been missin' you
I've never heard you cry
I've never seen you why
I'm feeling oh so young
But still I must die to get to you
And if I do I wonder how just you will see me
And implicate the things I've done
I'm dieing in the shadows of this man I've never seen
I'll see you soon
Now wheres my gun?
Oh Lord, Oh Lord
Oh Lord, where's my gun?
Oh where's my gun?
Oh Lord, where's my gun?
Oh Lord, my gun
Let me open your eyes
Let me see who you are
I am you, you are me
We are a part of
The second coming of Christ
It's God himself in a jar
Yeah yeah
Let me open your eyes
Let me see who you are
I am you, you are me
We are a part of
The second coming of Christ
It's God himself in a jar
Yeahhhh heyaaaaa
You got me, sad and lonely
But I'm me, me
You know you make me so lonely
I am so lonely
And I will pray and then I'll cry
And I will pray and then I'll cry
And I will pray and then I'll cry
And I will pray and then I'll cry
I just can't let it out
This pipe and these needles are my only guide

I love every kind of music. i have listened to so many songs, but none get me like this one. This song is obviously about a guy who earlierin his life helped make the decision to abort a baby, and later on in his life after having other children he looks back and just wishes for anything he could have this decision back. i have never experienced this but you can feel emotion in this song so much i feel as if i have experienced it. Great song. Absolutely fucking great
you ppl are ignorant...its about a little emotion called "regret" that we feel when we "feel bad" about sumthing that coulda been changed for the better. and usually this "little emotion" is what causes over 3/4 of intentional suices these days. keep that in mind b4 u open your mouth
the song is about regrets and feeling bad for something he did that he couldn't take back
Actually, I'm pretty sure it's about an abortion that his girlfriend went through when they were younger and he regretted it. If you've ever heard the song "black chick, white guy" that's about their relationship, and in there it talked about their decision to abort the child and how it fucked his head up.
i love this song, to me it is about growing up. becoming more mature, looking back and realsiing you've made a mistake and regretting it but becoming a better person because of it. i thik he wouldn't make the same decision now but it has probably made him a better father now
I have always loved this song. The song always reminds me of a lonely sunset. I know that it's a ridiculous metaphor. Yet, I can always picture a man standing in a lonely sunset. And, he is reflecting upon his mistakes, and regrets of the past.
No, you're not.
I agree with vadge.

great song, very powerful
i think its clearly written about Abortion but i guess it can symbolize any death
