Gone Forever Lyrics
I lived all these years, Lost in a hollow shell
Darkness clouds the corners of my mind
Will I ever see the truth?
Will he ever reveal himself?
Will I be gone forever?
Will I disappear?
Mirrors all around
destroy me, reflections move
Through the darkness
Yet I stand still in fear and suffering
Fear is the only end
I lived
Darkness clouds the corners of my mind
Will I ever see the truth?
Will he ever reveal himself?
Will I disappear?
destroy me, reflections move
Through the darkness
Yet I stand still in fear and suffering
Fear is the only end

I think this one is about contemplating your own death, wondering if there is a God and an afterlife or if you just pass out of existance and if so, what is the point of life? I love this song.
If this another atheist song I'm gonna puke!! Atheist lyrics in metal songs these days is so cliche and getting so damn old!!
what the fuck are you babbling about? atheist lyrics? im guessing you dont mean like the band atheist so you probably just mean believing there is no god. you seem not to know if it is even an atheistic song. if you cant understand it then its probably not a cliche. either way i hear way more songs having to do with god existing rather than atheistic songs. singing "there is no god" doesnt really have a point. however, i hear a lot more "fuck god" style lyrics and satanic lyrics. anyway... i think this song is more agnostic. "Will I be gone forever? Will I disappear?". hes questioning what will actually happen when he dies. he still fears that there may be a god.
metalhead fc said it best. great song!
I think this song is about realizing the truth in religion. Is God real? Is what they were telling me real? Will I move on and go through life blelieving something thats not real or keep believing it. If I believe it I will be gone forever. Then at the end he's saying no! Fuck this religion and shouts "fuck you liers"
to me the song means that God is missing and he should return or appear, which would relieve this person and give him hope. meaning he's either losing faith or questioning God's existence. i got this song easy. and also, to contribute to the atheist argument...what kind of atheist band would name themselves 'God' Forbid? they'd exclude God completely. and also...just to make sure there isn't another coming argument...i'm going to cover now and say that this band is not at all satanic. and satanic bands aren't bad either (and this is coming from a Christian).
not christian, not satanic = smart religious shit can suck my balls
Yeah, this is definitely questioning God's existence.
I'd agree with gastonreboredo and others rather than Demonfox etc., listen to 'Crucify Your Beliefs' or 'Divinity' and you'll see why.
I always saw it more as questioning the existence of an afterlife, though I think it is both after reading the lyrics more carefully.
