Precious Lie Lyrics
The weight of the world
Upon me, what do I seek?
The horror of what has become
The touch of your hand
She was a precious lie
I always dreamed of
Took lust into love
The power behind your eyes
Makes me believe
My faith in you
Can do no wrong
I would crash the gates of hell
Is this where I belong?
Upon me, what do I seek?
The horror of what has become
The touch of your hand
I always dreamed of
Took lust into love
Makes me believe
My faith in you
Can do no wrong
I would crash the gates of hell

Now I can relate to this song cause I've actually had this happen to me before. What we have here is a classic case of confusing "Lust" with "Love." The singer apparently found someone who he believes he's deeply in love with and would do anything for, "I would crash the gates of Hell," but doesn't realize that it's just lust he's feeling, and nothing more, hence the lyric, "She was a precious lie/I always dreamed of/took lust into love.
Then at the end of the song the lead singer has this dilemma where he wonders if he will ever be able to feel anything more than lust, hence the lyirc, "Is this where I belong?"
That's my opinion not yours
This song is FUcking sick!
