its about a serious relationship breaking up, obviously. and that when you go, its all gone ("when you go, you go for everything"). nothing means anything after your "marriage" (relationship) has broken up. theres nothing else to say, its over, and the end has come.
this is one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard, and definitely one of my favorites off this album "long knives drawn". once again my favorite band did a beautiful job.
what a depressing way to end the album. its such a beautiful song though.
the end of a relationship and the feelings that come along with it. she compares the end of their first serious relationship to a divorce. she feels empty and doesnt want to know anything and knows that when he goes... he goes for everything and isnt coming back.
she describes that terrible blah feeling of not feeling and not knowing after a break up.
she can make the worst feelings into something beautiful. atleast as far as words go. i dont know why, but this was definitely my favorite song on long knives.
