I think that seeing this song as a relationship is too obvious i think Matts written this song in a way that could work with any situation that anyone can relate to
because i mean the line "I'll walk until my feet are bleeding" could easily be showing a determination to make anything work whether it be a love, friendship, family, even a band situation cud be applied
but thats jst me :)

kinda surprised there's not a lot of comments here cos this song is fucking brilliant! the chorus is so catchy and the line "i'll walk until my feet are bleeding" is the best part on the whole album...i think anyway...does anyone have a clue what it's about? i've a feeling he's in a relationship he realises he should have never got into...
this song is amazing.. I was kind of thinking that hes in a relationship and the girl cheated on him..or maybe falling in love with someone you cant be with.. im pretty sure its something about love tho bcuz of the line "A passion for all young fools".. i think the walking part is something about getting away from it all.. from all the pressures and pains of life...maybe hes realising the hatred in the world.. kind of lost the love? I dunno.. thats just what im kind of thinking..
To me this song is about how we all tell lies constantly as if its some sort of trend and we're ruining everything by doing so and in the end he's trying to find some truth and so will "walk until my feet are bleeding"

Means that sometimes people dont lie tottally they just bend whats true and nobody questions it or believes thats not the truth therefore "A question left unanswered" and by doing that we are not helping the person stop lying to us and by doing that they " feed the failure" of their choices , I dunno I could be wrong just what I think
This song is so amazing. Expecially the acoustics at the end where he says "And will this never end.. I'm tired of all this walking... And if this never ends.. I'll walk until my feet are bleeding." When hearing this I can just picture a guy with the girl of his dreams in his eyes but he can't have her for some reason. She has a boyfriend or something like that. I found this song so easy to relate to and I am sure most others have been able to too. When he said he was tired of all this walking I am pretty sure that he ment that he was tired of putting so much effort into nothing. Cause no matter what he does or how much he loves her she doesn't see him like he sees her. And when he says I'll walk until my feet are bleeding, I believe he is saying that he can't let go and he will always be waiting, and hoping for her to come to him. He just doesn't want to give up. Funeral For A Friend has to be one of the best bands out there.
