i think it means that his shadow shouldn't be the only one there. I'm guessing he wants the girls shadow to be there nex to his. So that would mean that they are both there together. if that makes sense lol. i tried.

i feel this way everyday and i want it to change but i know it wont because me and my friend are never gonna get back together. i want her back but its not gonna happen and it does make me miss her that shes lives a while a way for me but its worth every moment when i get to skate to her house and see her. things havent felt right with me and her and she knows i cant go on with that and we are trying to change along the way. hopefully all of this will change in time.

i've loved this song forever. for some reason, if you are acquainted with the OC and the relationship between Seth and Summer, it always reminds me of them. for me, the guy is singing to the girl and expressing to her that like nothign means more to him than making their presence known, their togetherness known to everyone. adn mabye this won't happen, he's still madly in love with her. for me it's basically him explaining to her how much she means to him and the impression she has made on him is one that he can't let go. and he'll love her even if it's not right for whatever reasons.
