Fairly easy to understand what this song means. A girl who is out of control and quite probably depressed "Faking laughs and faking smiles With her fake friends". She has no direction and wastes her time getting drunk and stoned with people who use her. Probably easy for some people out there to relate to.

I love this song, really I say that about a lot of songs, I guess I just love music
the meaning i get from the song is the girl going away to college and getting caught up in what it takes to be "cool"...she drinks, gets stoned and tries to get laid cos its considered cool by the majority. she has the sort of friends where "beng cool" and doing "cool things" matters, not who the person is inside. her old friends who accepted her as she was without all the pretence she's cut off, in order to fit in with her new 'friends'. but everything about her now is fake, and thats why "shes gonna break" - shes pretending to be someone she isnt, and cant keep it up much longer.
It's abut a girl with so many problems in her life, that she feels like she gonna break, IMHO one of the best LTJ songs.
i cand def relate to what mjstokes said about the drinking and smoking weed and people using u. it starts out as just good fun, but it can wear u out to the point where the only friends u have are just there for the party.
This one of my least favorite less than jake songs. It was so generic. They've gone downhill. Their last album was still pretty good.
it is generic but I can relate to the message of partying and drugs leading to a break down. reality is for those that cant handle drugs
