Touch Of Red

I saw these guys play live in toronto a few months back. Anders introduced the song by describing what it's like to fall into a giant glass of red wine. I think that proves the song has something to do with alcohol, or drug abuse. It seems to me to be about wanting to drink or use, but wanting to stop at the same time.

It could be about drug adiction..."im as sober as i could be", its about how he wants to do drugs yet he knows there is a way out.

This song is about suicide. And depression.

I think its about depression because the lyrics sounds like he restricts himself. And the fact he asks if he is just different.

I'm surprised there are not any comments on this song. I think it is a pretty good song.

yeah im definately agreeing with stray divine, cause when i saw them in portland, i got to the show about two hours earlier and got a chance to sit down in the lobby of the venue where he was sittin and eating some french fries and talk with him for a while, i asked on what his thoughts were writing STYE and he said he mixed ideas of things like drinking and despair, escaping and such. and yeah he mentioned the same thing when he introduced touch of red

F**k you ImpaledOnion, bands change, people change over time, who are you to say they sold out? If you want to listen to another Jester Race or earlier In Flames, then go and listen to them, don't expect them to reproduce the same thing every album. There are a million bands that emulated their sound off the early albums as well, go and listen to them. In Flames, and especially Anders, are the best muscians around and have made masterpieces of every album from Jester Race onwards.

i spent a lot of time listeninw to this osng...one of my favorites on the cd...i kinda just went through and interpreted all the lyrics individualy:: tell me wat u tihnk::

I followed - something's missing Self control - forcing me down Whispers consume the air Above her I'm endless (i kinda read this whole part together, apparently some significant other is involved with this poart of the song and i figured that may have something to do with how he should be happy)

The weak in me should know I'm as sober as I could be (i found the lytrics in this part amazing....i think this part summs up the whole song..."the weak in me" perhaps just the mere feeling of weakness, and/or regretsof some kind, and realizing that as sober as you can be your problems will be there either way...)

is there a reason why everyone considers Jester Race to be like the starting of In Flames? They had an album and an ep before Jester Race and they were both wayy better than this.

i think it definatly has something to do with suicide, but it might have something to do with a girl, from the line above her, im endless

and in flames never sold out, just like metallica didnt, you people suck, if you dont like the band stop listening to them, they dont play music for you alone

I own EVERY in flames and metallica album, and I must say that none of it sucks nor did they sell out, each album is slightly different and just listen to it and enjoy it for what it is , other than sitting around complaining about how the band didn't write music just for you.
