Let's Roll Lyrics

lie on the floor
of the runway baby
wait for the ride
we'll have a comfortable flight

don't be afraid
to be afraid here with me
and plunge, little one
into the wormhole with me

let's roll
let's roll

south to the sea
i got a sailboat for free
yes, little one, we'll sail the sewage out to sea

don't be afraid
of the roaming alligators
and save the heartattacks for later

let's roll
let's roll
let's roll

north to the fringe
i know a bar there that's in
out of the way in a Hades kind of way

but i'm not afraid
as long as you're here with me

let's roll
let's roll
let's roll
let's roll
let's roll

Although the album has a lot to do with 9/11, i think it's being used as metaphor in this song for this sedentary phase between the writer and someone else. Something might have slowed them down in the past or caused them to look at eachother differently, but he is asking the other person to just forget about it and keep on going for the sake of unpredictabilty.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if this song have anything to do with the 9/11 attacks, since the phrase "Let's roll" was used by the passengers of Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania? Neil Young wrote a song entitled "Let's Roll" shortly after the attacks... Great song by the way..

They took the name "Let's Roll" for this song from Neil Young's song. The whole album kinda has something to do with the 9/11 attacks.
