I'm feeling mean today
My life's not thrown away
Just irritated and quite hated
Self control breaks down
Why's everything so tame?
I like my life insane
I'm fabricating and debating
Who I'm gonna kick around

Right Now
Can't find a way to get across the hate when I see you
Right Now
I feel this scratch inside, I wanna smash and beat you
Right Now
I rip apart the things inside that excite you!
Right Now
I can't control myself;I fuckin hate you.

I'm feeling cold today
My hurt just tucked away
I'm devastated and frustrated
God, I feel so bound
So when I feel the need
I think it's time to bleed
I'm gonna cut myself
And watch the blood hit the ground

Right Now
Can't find a way to get across the hate when I see you
Right Now
I feel this scratch inside, I wanna smash and beat you
Right Now
I rip apart the things inside that excite you!
Right Now
I can't control myself; I know I hate you

You open your mouth again
I swear I'm gonna break it
You open your mouth again
My God, I cannot take it
Shut up, shut up, shut up
I'll bust you up
Shut up, shut up, shut up
I'll fuck you up

Shut Up, Shut Up, Shut Up
I'll Fuck You up
Shut Up, Shut Up, Shut Up
I'll Fuck You up
Shut Up, Shut Up, Shut Up
I'll Fuck You up
Shut Up, Shut Up, Shut Up
I'll Fuck You up

Right Now
Can't find a way to get across the hate when I see you
Right Now
I feel this scratch inside, I wanna smash and beat you
Right Now
I rip apart the things inside that excite you!
Right Now
I can't control myself; I fuckin' hate you

I Fuckin' Hate You
I Fuckin' Hate You
I Fuckin' Hate You
I Fuckin' Hate You

I Fuckin' Hate You (Shut Up)
I Fuckin' Hate You (Shut Up)
I Fuckin' Hate You (Shut Up)
I Fuckin' Hate You (Shut Up)

I'm not the biggest KoRn fan, but I do LOVE this song. ^^;; And I don't understand why people react so negatively to it. Anger IS a human emotion, and whenever people bottle it up and don't release it...well, that's when serial murders happen. Anyway, it's good to get your anger out creatively...in KoRn's case, writing and doing this song. It's a kick-ass song to slam around to and scream to when you're pissed off or frustrated. Also, the video kicks ass too. First time I saw it I was with my friend. She ran to the bathroom and threw up and I just kinda sat there laughing...ANYWAY. Good song. ^_^

Warren wanted a Beach Boys thing for this one, and Carl Wilson and Billy Hinsche came in, with Carl arranging the vocal parts. The other harmony vocalists (credited as the "Gentlemen Boys") were Jackson Browne, J.D. Souther, Zevon's longtime backers Waddy Wachtel and Jorge Calderon, and Linda Rondstadt/Stone Poneys guitarist Kenny Edwards.

He reuses the verse melody from the previous album's "Dirty Little Religion", the topics of the verses are all over the place, and he packs too many words into one line (goes to show...) and too few in another (it's pretty hard to find), and rhymes "Henley Regatta" with "Persona non grata", but gets away with it all as only he could.

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
