Blood Red Summer Lyrics
Faint white figures paint my sleep
Please don't tell my secrets, keep them hidden
(You got it, you got it, you got it)
If the words that matter reach your face from floor
Will you be wondering if, or
(Do I need what is given or honest?)
Does it cost me scarring if the words stay true
Even number, your nephew
(I don't want it, don't want it, don't want it anymore)
And when the answer that you want
Is in the question that you state
Come what may
And when the answer that you want
Is in the question that you state
Come what may
In a pain that buckles out your knees
Could you stop this if I plead?
(You got it, you got it, you got it)
So destined I am to walk among the dark
A child in keeping secrets from
(Will they know what I've done in the after?)
In the sought for matter when the words blame you
In a blood red summer I'll give you
(I don't want it, don't want it, don't want it)
And when the answer that you want
Is in the question that you state
Come what may
And when the answer that you want
Is in the question that you state
Come what may
What did I do to deserve?
What did I do to deserve this?
What did I do to deserve?
What did I do to deserve this?
What did I do to deserve?
What did I do to deserve this?
What did I do to deserve?
What did I do to deserve this?
What did I do to deserve?
What did I do to deserve this?
What did I do to deserve?
What did I do?
Please don't tell my secrets, keep them hidden

for some reason this song makes me think of cheerleaders. just the "woah oh" part and the "hey hey hey!" i dont like cheerleaders, but i do like this song. it puts me in a good mood :)
this dude sounds like a girl when he sings, but its a sick song PEACE-----
Ill tell you what this song means...
Its about this guy who really likes this chick who lies to him all the time, damning him to walk amongst the dark and hopeless people who can't get the girl they want. And she fucking made a fool of him over spring break because she was kissing him and then her boyfriend knocks on her front door and she introduces him as 'ohio guy'. Then im just standing there pissed and fucking leave with a simple 'nice to meet you austin'. Then this guy is wondering what he did to deserve this bitch treatment and he sits around and thinks about how much of a blood red summer its going to be when he fucks her sister this summer to get back at her! wha ohhh eee ohhh
What I love about this song:
So the deal on co and ca, is that their albums all contribute to a kind of sci-fi trillogy. This is on the thrid album in the series, (the first hasnt been released, for those of you who were about to argue) But the main question is what the story is actually about and i myself have theories but no real answers, so here are my theories on this song. (everything that follows may be false) the second album is mainly the story of claudio, second son of coheed and cambria. He has some secret, which i think somehow relates to the monster that his father had in him, that eventually killed him. He is in love with ikkin newo, and tells her his secret, because he has waited his whole live to share it with someone, he doesnt want to walk alone in the dark. Ths gets complicated in the next three songs in the velorium camper when she is captured by some other evil pilot, Al. He is in love with her, and i believe she tells him... but after that i get confused. Feel free to add or correct.
Also just to add one thing... the even number your nephew relates to jessie, his prize fighting uncle, (who has more of a part in the previous album.... i think) and claudio is his even numbered nephew.
in this song Claudio is talking to Jesse, his uncle, Coheeds brother. all the "you got it" parts are Jesse replying to Claudio. Basically now Ambellina has told Claudio everything that happened and what he has to do and he talks to Jesse for guidance. Claudio is absolutely torn up inside and doesnt want any part of this. After this talk he decides to go find Newo Ikkin. and eternity is right about the "even number your nephew" line: Claudio is Coheed/Cambria's 2nd son of 4 and Jesse is Coheed's brother - he is actually Jesse's first nephew technically because Josephine is the oldest and that would make Mathew, the youngest child, the second nephew.. but whatever it is definitely Claudio.
Nothing really to comment on the story. The thing is s0f.....the line "pain that buckles out your knees" means he is already dead.
eternityawait: it's a quadrilogy, not a trilogy, with the first being released next, then the last after that.
anyone know when the next album is coming out?
