Born To Hula Lyrics
Follow trails of you to here
Every mile takes you my way
Rolling faster than we can
Tables turnin’ all the time
I’m the dog at your feet
So we are it again
You’re the one
Fucking have to wait a dime
Every single flingin mile
They’re coming faster all the while
You’re the one
Ain’t it somethin, we’re born to hula
Every mile takes you my way
Rolling faster than we can
I’m the dog at your feet
So we are it again
Every single flingin mile
They’re coming faster all the while

This song's about fucking. Doing the hula? Hip movements moving forward and backward? Colored bottles in a line. They're wasted and fucking.
I agree that it's about sex. The first part of the song is like the seduction, and then the end jam is like the act of.
I second that. Fucking. Great human pastime.
I stumbled across some lyrics taht sounds more accurate.
"Follow trails of you to here Every mile takes you my way Rolling faster if we can Roll
Tables turnin all the time I’m the dog at your feet Out of sight and out of time Yours
You’re the one
Colored bottles in a line Different signals blinkin my way Rolling faster all the while
You’re the one
Ain’t it something I’m born to hula"
nevermind my spelling. heh..
can't really work out what this means but is one of my favourite queens songs. love it!
I think its about being a proverbial slave to someone, having to following them around, being pushed out of your comfort zone for them and basically doing whatevr they say. Or its about drugs. Probably both :)
There is TWO versions to this song. The original appeared on the Kyuss/QOTSA split cd, and the newer version came out on Stone Age Compilations.
The lyrics that Elin submitted are the correct lyrics for the Kyuss/QOTSA split version.
The lyrics that bignique187 posted are the correct lyrics for the Stone Age Compilation version.
Both are correct, depending on what you're listening to.
Am I really the only person hearing "maybe it's something about the hula"?
I'm not far off... I thought it was "Maybe it's something, about TO hula"
I'm not far off... I thought it was "Maybe it's something, about TO hula"
The version I know is from the Desert Sessions. Bignique posted the lyrics above.
Sounds like a relationship to me. 1st verse- the beginning of the relationship. Guy and girl like each other and have to see each other all the time 2nd verse- a little into the relationship and a little turmoil. He's still crazy about her. As for her, not so much. 3rd verse- Guy is confused. She sending him mixed signals about how she feels, where she wants things to go in the relationship. The relationship is moving faster and faster.
So I can see how Born to Hula to some may sound like a metaphor for sex with the hip movements of a hula hoop or hula dancing. But Born to Hula to me is more like we are born to do this dance in a relationship. The dance that is described in the verses.
