your post made me a little upset boss_2k to tell you the truth, they didn't just stick random words together hoping that it would eventually turn into a hit, this song is about someone being so addicted to drugs and now he's completely fucked up because of it...it's gotten so bad he's in a coma and everything about him is just fading and falling apart, like the song says, he's completely lost

I agree with watchingyou. the terms "pinkeye fountain" and "pinkeye flight" refer to when heroin addicts pull some blood out of their vein with a syringe to make sure they are not injecting any air. Also the spasmotic pulsating beats of sound before the actual song starts represent the heroin pulsating through the body and starting to take effect, followed by cedric screaming "now im lost" when the drug has taken full effect.

OK. enouph of the "is TMV a good band" talk. This is for those who have read the book (or interested in reading it) because i would like to discuss this more seriously.

"I'm lost" obviously means that hes now in the coma and doent know whats goin on

"last night I heard lepors flinch like birth defects it's musk was fecal in origin as the words dribbled off of its chin it said I'm lost" In the book the 1st thing he describes after going under is some sort of consil of lepers who sentence him. to this journey he's about to go on. This verse describes that.

I dont know what the second verse means.

Clipseside of the pinkeye fountain" means that bad side of a morhine injection... an overdose. pinkeye describes stcking the neddle in your arm.

"are you peaking in the red perforated at the neck" I think here that he's wondering whats goin on. Is he peaking on that drugs(pink to red). Or maybe he lost his mind (hense the head chopped off of his body).

"you'll be the first and last to know you'll never know " you probably know when your fucked up enouph to be slipping into a coma... but in real life you are never supposed to have any recollection of being in it... so your the last to know about it... or you die and you never know.

you know it alls out there still dont think it could possibly be loused instead of lost? given TMV's nature to necessitate deeper understandings and further reading into the lyrics, and THE WORD IS IN THE TITLE OF THE EP, maybe this term for totally fucking up and being a mess could be more cohesive to the concept.

The last few notes of the song always sounded odd to me, So i played the last bit of the track backwards and it's a little acoustic guitar picking. When they recorded the song they must have flipped that part. Eerie.

i love this song also, its soo awesome.....of all the songs, i think this one sounds the most like atdi, but then again, none do
