This is the perfect opening song - and it does open their first album Halfway Down the Sky. This song is short, but sweet. The guitar and atmosphere reminds me of a warm summer evening. I think this song is about being rejected or turned away by someone - possibly while in a relationship. He says he feels "happier this way" - which could mean he's happy being alone or secluded from a significant other or with his current personal endeavors. This song definitely has the feel of anger towards someone or something.
