Habeas Corpus Lyrics
stabwounds will take their toll murderer with her smile and as an afterthought she kept the heart he gave her beauty can be so cruel she once swore him forever to make good on her word ensured he'd never leave her she lies and whispers loving words he lay bleeding on this floor a sigh a kiss will end his pain and (she) drives the blade deeper still come closer to me crimson streaks the pale skin of her face from the spray of blood from his throat his eyes ever questioning why she swore never to leave him

A woman kills her lover whom she promised to never leave.
I think the whole murder thing is a metaphor. She swore to never leave him but does anyways. "She lies and whispers loving words" might mean that when leaving him she keeps telling him she loves him, which would be a lie. And the line "A kiss will end his pain and she drives the blade..." bassicly is saying if she would just show her love to him, he would be ok, but instead she drives in the blade...the pain she causes him
i think this whole song is a metaphore, sortof like our relationships with god...
like when were supposed to be living our lives out for god, and instead go and stab him, when really he'll forgive us, but all we have to do is love him back. and how her loving him is like us giving our heart to god.
i dont get why the titeled this song Habeas Corpus because what that really means is that you basiclly cant be punished unlawfully
