Justin Furstenfeld explained that he wrote this song as a birthday gift for one of his previous girlfriends. I love this song. Justin has a way of making you feel like he's singing just for you.
DISCLAIMER I have just obtained a copy of Justin Furstenfeld's book Crazy Making. It's not very detailed, but it contains all the lyrics to all current (The Answers - Approaching Normal) Blue October songs, and his inspiration behind them. As I said, it's not very detailed, but it's his words on every Blue October song that is in the book. I know everyone interprets a song differently from everyone else, but having the original intent behind the song will be helpful to people who don't fully understand a song. Also, any grammatical errors are not made by me, I'm putting down Justin's words exactly how he writes them. So yea... enjoy :)

i love this song....awesome lyrics but whoever posted them above i think they left out the part where they say in the background "it's not so difficult, the world is not so difficult". they left out like a whole line and its one of my fav ones so i just thought id say that :D ...and isnt it "so while im on this phone", not "what if on this phone?" idk thats what i hear.....but yeah awesome song, like seriously....how can the first 2 lines not get to u??
I agree with iwuzlykyea the first two lines of this song just pull you in. It's an awesome song and very well written.

okay so what i have to say: blue october has mastered the love song. not just this one, but many many others. they write the most beautiful and tearjerking songs without being too corny, and the lyrics are actually good.
me and my boyfriend have been through a lot of different songs and almost all of them have been blue october songs.
