its a cool song, I wanna hear a better version too, and some of the words are wrong: "I feel you hate the change in me" =="I feel the anger changing me" and then at the end he says "Oh god the angers changing me" twice, not what it says

I agree, so many people putting up their thoughts on the band. If you do not like the band, or the song, why waste energy on commenting? Hard to shuffle through and find decent interpretations when there are so many arguments on whether the band is good or not.

Anyway, I think this is about trying and continuing to fail, or not measuring up to what others want to see you as, or even not measuring up to what you want others to see you as. "I did my time" meaning I have tried, I have failed, or even I have been successful at times, and am still not where I need to be.

Trying, and not making it, you just cannot win, and you feel defeated. Then you try yet again to do better, and ask yourself "where do I start?" and your mind laughs at you, like there is too much to sift through, or maybe mocking you because you simply are in over your head. Something like that.

I think many people can be changed or driven by their anger, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst, you have to be careful what you do with it, as with any emotion.

I love everything about this song, especially the chorus. It's just so powerful and I can really relate to the lyrics and the anger conveyed through his singing and the music. This is probably my favorite Korn song.

*The video is worth checking out too. It was featured on the DVD for the second Tomb Raider movie and has Angelina Jolie being very sexy in it. There's a part where she and Jon are screaming "I did my time!" to each other - super cool.

anywho.. i think this song is about him wanting the curse of suffering from negativiy to LEAVE. i feels as if he DID his time..

coool part of the song is the chorus: HE IS THE ONE WHO CHOSE HIS PATH!!(manifestation). but that fact that things didnt go according to how he wanted things to go, it made him upset (I FEEL THE LIGHT PULLED FROM ME, I FEEL THE ANGER CHANGING ME)..

thats how i see it.. and manifesting things is pretty challenging. hahaha

I think this song is about feeling like a prisoner in your own mind, either as the result of a mental disorder ("My mind is laughing at me"), because of life choices ("I am the one who chose my path"), or both.

This is my interpretation: it's about someone who brings him down (ex, family, etc.). And the second half of the verse (tell me, why am i to blame?) Is specifically referring to that person. The other person blames him, and he thought they were supposed to be on the same side. And it starts burning him because he cares about the other person, but its like he/she treats him horribly. My favorite song by my favorite band.

I think this song is about someone who started life in a pretty shitty proverbial place. Someone who has tried repeatedly and failed to better their lot in life.
