Haven't heard this song yet. Great lyrics, though. I can relate a lot to it. It's basically believing in whatever someone says because you love them and trust them. The whole "I never thought ice could burn" means that he trusted her and never expected her to lie to him.
I haven't heard this song either but I agree it talks about how he trusted her, gave into her despite listening to his own senses. He thought deep inside she would hurt him and tarnish his trust, but he went along with it.
Only to find how she has left him, turning her back to everything that he's tried with her. And he feels the ice, how cold it is when she becomes a stranger to him. Yet the pain burns like fire.
