Shoutweb: "Stupid Girl" is more of a lighter theme.

Scooter: "Stupid Girl" was a chance for me to breathe kind of. I was like, "Rivers, thank you!" I don't have to fuckin' cry or think about the dark side of everything on this song. When he sent me those lyrics, the second verse still sounds like a Cold verse to me and the chorus definitely does so it's still Cold in a lot of ways. I detach myself from it because he did the verses so it definitely means something to me but not as much as the other ones. I don't know what his version of "Stupid Girl" is but I think I have a version. My version of it and what I see through it is that you could just be a total piece of trash and at the same time, you don't know that you are. You have this person that's going to leave you and you don't have any idea why. A lot of people are blind to the fact that they are idiots.

Scooter: (laughter) You know? I don't know. It's going to be funny because I'm sure a lot of people are going to hear the "Stupid Girl" hook and say, "Hey, it's about a stupid girl." But not really. It's about a stupid man, that doesn't know he's stupid.

I absolutely love this song. After my girlfriend broke up with me i listened to it all the time. I love the chorus so much. "she's going away, she's going away, what's wrong with my life today."

pretty much my favorite part of this song.

Its about a boy, who's madly in love with a girl. He's never felt this way, and feels that he doesnt deserve her. Shes leaving and that makes him feel worse, therefore making her a "stupid girl" for making him feel like that and then leaving. He wants to know whats wrong with his life because he feels like this for someone thats leaving. But of course, thats just my opinion/thought about it.

From watching the video and hearing/reading the lyrics, I pretty much think it's about really bad breakups.

When it comes to breakups, ususally the person has all these mixed up thoughts and feelings. A part of them is wondering, what they did wrong. Another part of them is blaming the ex. A part of them is wanting to phyically hurt the ex and another part, just wants to be with them again. It's all these thoughts and emotions mixed together, to make the person feel like they can't take it anymore.

Throughout the song, the singer is talking about that. If you read it, certain things really stand out. Like the beginning, where he is talking about wanting to love them but at the same time, bug them. Or when he talking about not being able to take it anymore. Repeatedly calling this girl stupid but at the same time, calling himself a loser.

It's just a song with all over the place thoughts and emotions.

In the video, people are talking about past relationships. I even remember a girl ripping up a poster with a guy's name on it. I think Damien was the name.

hmm.maybe im just weird, but when i first listened to it i thought it was more of..maybe..he loved her but she left him or wronged him somehow and now she's going away, and when he say "she's going away,whats wrong with my life today" i think hes saying more of, now that she isnt here whats wrong with my life? like he's kinda happy i guess...

This guy never really regards his girl as a person. He just experiments with her, poking and prodding her just to see how she'll react. He thinks she is nothing more then a pretty girl that'll do anything for him. That she'll go along with everything he does so he decides to try out different approaches in his life (I'm a loner, I'm a loser, I'm a winner, In my mind. I'm a bad one, I'm a good one, I'm a sick one, With a smile.)

But when she leaves him (she's going away) he realizes how much a part of his life she was (what's wrong with my life today?)

Unfortunately I think almost everyone goes through this. I feel bad for the girl I did this to, but it is a part of finding yourself. Everyone likes to try out being bad when they're sick of being good, being good when thier tired of wearing the bad.

I dont really think that it is so much he abuses his privelage of having a girlfriend, a lover. I see it more as he doesnt know really who he is. He doesnt know what is wrong with the world. He seems confused and doesnt know what he world is supposed to be. The girl, tired of waiting for him to figure out what he is and what he is going to do about her in his life (i.e. marry her, dump her, etc.) leaves him. What really made me think this is the little thing at the begining and end of the music video where they guys talk about first, how much they love their girls, and then, how much they were hurt by how what she said "meant nothing" to him anymore because she is "going away".

I think cold is a great band. I remember when they were local in Jacksonville...

It sounds to me like this guy is almost in love with this girl, and no matter how hard he tries to forget her, hence "stupid girl" she keeps popping up in his head and he could do anything for her and she'd still reject him. basically she's leaving and he's torn between loving and hating her
