I lvoe the song its so beautiful.

Its about skooters 2 friends who got wasted one night. A fire started and they were basiclly burnt alive. His mom told him when it was raining outside hte next morning. When ever it rains he thinks about them.

It seems that Scooter really deals with a lot of change in his life. In many of his songs he talks about how he'll never be the same.

Sometimes I hate it when lovers go in my life. Because when I get out of a relationship I change so much. Though I grow stronger and things are for the better, I just wish I could come back into their lives because I know I can really take care of people. But once somebody walks out of my life, they really walk back in. Mostly because of disconnecting feelings and not wanting to be a part of past hurts.

But Scooter is right, when you change, you'll never be the same. And you grow stronger. It's what we all live for.

According to an interview with Scooter from shoutweb.com, the song IS about two friends of his burnt alive. However, the two friends shared a house down the street from where he lived and when the fire broke out, he could see it from his window and basically watched the house burn from down the street. It was pouring down rain when it happened so when it rains, he thinks of the fire he saw during the downpour and his two friends dying.

i was guessing a person close to him maybe commited suicide so when the rain falls he thinks of them almost being with him.

Whatever this song is about, it is really sad and it makes me cry.

LemonButt is correct. In an interview with Scooter Ward (whom I would argue is one of the best songwriters of the modern era), he describes how from his apartment one night he noticed a fire. It was raining that night and he later found out that it was his 2 best friends that had died in the fire.
