Volvo Driving Soccer Mom Lyrics
You know I used to be a bad girl
I got busy in the bathroom at my high school prom
Yeah, I used to be a dancer at the local strip club
But now I know my right way from my wrong
I really used to be a bad girl
I had a threesome with my sister and her boyfriend Tom
I know I used to be a real wild child
But now I am a Volvo-driving soccer mom
I really used to be a bad girl
I got busted for possession of my wizard-shaped bong
I used to love to do the things they tell me not to do
But now I'm different, now I sing a new song
I really used to be a bad girl
I got gang-banged in the bathroom at my high school prom
Yes, I used to be a real wild child
But now I am a Volvo-driving soccer mom
Volvo-driving soccer mom (4x)
Where do all the porn stars go
When the lights go down?
I wonder where all the porn stars go
'Cause when you need one, they are never around
I think they moved out to the suburbs
And now they're blonde, bland, middle-class Republican wives
They all have blonde, bland, middle-class Republican children
Blonde, blonde, middle-class Republican lives
Where do all the porn stars go
When the lights go down?
I think I know where all the porn stars go
They all become Volvo-driving soccer moms
Volvo-driving soccer mom (5x)
I got busy in the bathroom at my high school prom
Yeah, I used to be a dancer at the local strip club
But now I know my right way from my wrong
I had a threesome with my sister and her boyfriend Tom
I know I used to be a real wild child
But now I am a Volvo-driving soccer mom

Have any of you guys seen the music video to this song? I think it was hilarious and really made me love the song!:)
I can't believe somebody hasn't already commented on this song! The song just illustrates that female porn stars, in the general sense, become Volvo-driving soccer moms after they quit the industry. This song fuckin' rocks!!
i love this song cuz its funny. i just bought their new cd "slow motion daydream" and it rocks. i love it so much, but still it isnt as good as "learning how to smile".
Yup i like this song..I was waiting for sum1 to put this song on the bb. Anyway teh first time i heard this song i laughed my ass off! it's a great song! :)
Art said it was pretty weird, when making the video, to be playing in front of little kids.
such a damn good song! this song is amusuing yet deals with a true point- a lot girls who are wild and slutty and fun loving when they're young, grow up to try to be perfect suburban career women and completely lose their edge
I think it's also about how people who seem really cool, edgy, different and wild when they are younger just grow intp the most mundane people of all.
i think the song is telling the story of girls who used to be insane rebels growing up to conform to society...i find it sad actually how many people lose their edge, that one thing that sets them apart to become their enemy...
i dunno maybe the girl in this song wanted to become a soccor mom....
i like it =]
I feel like the point he's trying to make is that in order to fit in in suburbia you have to give up everything that's important to you--you have to be bland and boring. In a sense, you have to sell yourself--it's another form of prostitution (mental and spiritual rather than physical).
this is my favorite song. like ever. it never gets old!
its also the first song i ever heard by everclear... what a lovely impression lol.
