"Meant To Live" as written by and Tim Foreman Jonathan Foreman....
Fumbling his confidence
And wondering why the world has passed him by
Hoping that he's bent for more than arguments,
And failed attempts to fly, fly

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside

Dreaming about Providence
And whether mice or men have second tries
Maybe we've been livin' with our eyes half open
Maybe we're bent and broken, broken

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside

We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live
We were meant to live

General Commentthe mice and men reference is what made me actually want to know the meaning of this. I had just read the book in English and I didn't really care, i was just skating through in school with low D's. then this song came on and I was in a daze, I heard the mice and men reference and I wanted to be better for myself.

as for the meaning. I think the world is corrupt and some people want more than what people can give them. they need to live their lives for them, away from what everyone wants from them and stuff.
I guess finding yourself makes sense if what your finding is that you want more than the world can offer.
maybe we all go through that realization, or maybe not. idk.
that what the song is to me anwho.
