Like most FFAF songs it's about a failed relationship. "It's a pointless game" meaning it was doomed to start with and "What better, let's play" - just going for it. Then its wanting to be "the last one...". Then the chorus is about changing himself to try and keep the person or trying to fix a problem by changing something. The interlude is about how it ends like all the other past relationships but it still affects him. Thinking he'll never get over it - "(We will never be the same)" and the rest of the lyrics, i dunno.

i met my ex girlfriend in a club to this song i was running to the dance floor to show those pop punk guys how to dance to decent music and i knocked her over. she got up and kissed me ill never forget her.....ever i just get that feeling in my throat when i hear it and i never got to dance to it.

its about a relationship thats faild and that is repetitive like a "broken record" and all the guy wants to do is spend tye rest of his life with her but she dont want it
